Hemet Police Department’s Upgraded Website

by | Feb 25, 2024

The Client:

The Hemet Police Department is located in Riverside County, about 86 miles from downtown Los Angeles, in Southern California. The men and women of the Hemet Police Department provide law enforcement services to the 90,000 residents of the city of Hemet. Their website is at hemetpd.com.

The Website Problem:

The department originally contracted with TOC Public Relations to build a recruitment website. After about a year, the department was impressed with the responses and the service it had received from us, so the chief made the decision to having TOC build their main department website.

The department’s original web presence was hampered because it was part of the city’s main website, which was a typical mass-produced platform popular for cities. It lacked the features our websites have and the service was not what a police department requires.

The Website Solution:

TOC Public Relations modified their recruitment website and built them a full department website. Their recruitment pages are still a highlight of the website, as they are on a mission to hire new police officers and additional staff. The department takes pride in providing great resources for their community on various pages of the website.

The Results

“We originally contracted with TOC Public Relations to build a recruitment website to increase our chances of attracting applicants. After a year of success, we opted to have them build us a full department site.

The department’s website is a big hit with our community! It enables us to engage with the public in new and innovative ways. People can easily find information about local safety initiatives, our latest news releases, learn more about the work of our officers, and get involved in programs that make a real difference.”
